How to make money on YouTube?

I’m sure many of you dream to be a full-time YouTube content creator. Finally being able to do what you love as your job – it’s not easy, but it’s not impossible. Today we will give you some tips, that might help you make your dreams come true 🙂

1. How to enable monetization on Youtube Channel

If you plan on earning money on YouTube, that’s the first thing you should do. Enabling monetization means allowing YouTube to place ads on your video (and if you don’t have a YouTube channel yet, you can learn how to create your own channel and become a great Youtuber reading our previous articles).

You should have an idea what type of channel you are creating. When you finally build the channel, the next step you should do is Enable Monetization and sign up for Google AdSense. In order to enable monetization, you need to get 10,000 views. It might seem hard at the beginning, but after watching several guides it shouldn’t be as difficult task as you might think. Let your family and friends know about your YouTube channel, share it on your facebook, twitter and Instagram profiles, it will increase the speed of getting the views!

Another way to increase your views is to create content that is popular. Look what games are nowadays famous, and record the game plays. If you are a musician, then definitely you should record cover songs of celebrities, and try to share your videos on their Facebook fan page / Twitter. Keep in mind to publish only videos that meet monetization criteria.

Also, remember to upload your content regularly, it helps to hold an audience.

After reaching 10000 views, your channel will be automatically reviewed, and you will receive an email decision. Unfortunately, monetization is not available in some countries, but don’t worry, there are other ways to earn money.

2. Reviews

In review videos, people describe products, what they like about them and what they dislike. You probably watched those videos when you wanted to buy a new device. It’s a great way to learn more about the product you want to use, and how it compares to its competitors.

Did you know that many people choose to do reviews in order to earn money?

At first look, it seems to be an expensive way, and more like ”how to spend your money guide”. But as a beginner, you can start with reviewing some games, or free software. Ask some producer/manufacturer to send you a product for free in order to make a review. It is not easy to convince companies to give you samples, so try to gain some subscribers first.
Look for companies that already provide free samples to YouTube content creators. Look in the YouTube’s search for already reviewed products. Go to the video that caught your attention and find the producer’s website. Most companies have their email contact on their websites or have a message form where you can send them your questions. In the message, provide them a link to your YouTube channel, and if you already reviewed a similar product – a link to the video. It will give them an idea how the review will look like. Remember to write about the profit they will gain from providing you the free sample.

It takes a lot of time, but if your channel will constantly gain subscribers, soon you will start receiving emails from other companies with inquiries about promoting their product. Now it’s the time to establish your prices, and earn a payment for promoting the product!

3.Partnership Programs

There are a lot of Partnership Programs, like Go2arena and Amazon Affiliate.

What you shouldn’t do

There are people who try to earn money by linking pages to certain websites, where you have to watch ads in order to open the page/ download a file. It’s often used in linking an illegal software and cracks. That’s something that can really hurt your channel, and you can end in receiving a strike (that disables your monetization) or ever suspended channel.

Don’t upload content that doesn’t  meet monetization criteria. Like for example: using a music you taped off of television, or there’s a violence or nudity in the video. Watch off uploading a compilation video created from other videos (not owned by you). YouTube encourages free speech but does not permit content that has the primary purpose of inciting hatred against individuals or groups.
