That depends, if you are not limited by disk space and going for the best possible video quality select AVI. However after post-processing you will have to still render it as MP4 before uploading it to YouTube. MP4 NVENC HEVC provides a really good quality and it can go straight up to YouTube. Perf...

HEVC provides almost the same video quality but the file size is smaller (twice). It's also provides slightly better recording performance.
