I wanted to ask is there a possibility that you can make SSE2 optional? There are PCs with AGP video card supported by Splash, but because of the CPU (Duron, Sempron and Athlon on socket A) they cannot run Splash.

Running something without installing it doesn't necessary mean it's portable - it can be writing something to the registry. But it's a good question - will there be a portable version?
