I'm not too sure I understand what is the deal with the licensing fee either. I'm not really a streamer, but I'm pretty sure there are plenty of ways to stream for free that are available. What exactly is that licensing fee paying for?

Is there a purpose to the Game and Applications recording mode? When I use it in games it seems to drop my FPS a lot, but if I set the game to Fullscreen Windowed and use the Desktop recording mode instead, I get next to no drop in FPS and the video looks just as good as far as I can tell.
