Does motion 2 get better if you have a better CPU. Does it perform better with video card doing the decoding?

What are your audio settings? HDMI out? Through a receiver? To a TV? To a PC? from a sound card? From a Vid card? Have you set Splash PRO to use Video acceleration? Have you set SplashPRO to use 7.1 Bitstream?

Does the issue occur in SplashPRO without motion2 enabled?
This artifact looks a lot like a frame interpolation artifact from Motion2 trying to guess what the intermediate frames should be. The reason it doesn't happen in VLC is because it is not doing any processing on the video, simply playing it.

I use it solely for the frame interpolation of MotionPlus

I've had the same problem with every release of Splash PRO. I would purchase the software if it truly supported HD Audio as the website states. My system meets all specifications needed for HD Audio, and bit-streaming works perfectly with MPC-HC. I will not [/u] purchase this software until it does...

Does Splash PRO scale the aggressiveness of the smoothing algorithm based on the CPU it detects? I was just curious because I'm still in amazement at the smoothing that can be performed on my little Core2 Duo and was wondering if it would help things to upgrade to a quad.

I can play Dolby TrueHD only if the container is .m2ts NOT mkv.

I have not been able to get DTS MA to work at all, it ends up just playing the DTS core stream.
