Click the enhance button above the title. Find the revert to original button and click it. Click save. YouTube will now render your video in the quality you uploaded it. So the problem was Windows Media Player not having full control in the security settings. I never noticed there was a problem before, but giving WMP full control lets my video editor import files from any drive and not crash during the rendering process.

Above the title of your video there are some icons one of them says enhance. Click it and on the enhancement page find and check the box that says revert to original then click save.
