Will any 5.1 content then automatically be downmixed? I never understood the difference between the 5.1 setting and the hdmi-passthrough, compressed,...

Re: GPU hardware acceleration with Full HD MKVs

Hi latino, I saw it few times on my HD2600 at home, but on Win XP. When there are no resolutions detected for a codec, Splash can not initialize the GPU decoder. In my case reinstalling ATI drivers helped. Some users sais, that disabling Catalyst helps. If something goes wrong after drivers updatin...

Re: GPU hardware acceleration with Full HD MKVs

this is my output from DXVA Checker.

The driver is the default Windows 7 driver from Ati: v 8.632.1.2000 from 17-08-2009. The same as on my server where it works perfectly.

Re: GPU hardware acceleration with Full HD MKVs

I suddenly have a problem with both Lite and Pro not detecting the GPU. After installing Windows 7 64-bit again everyhing finally seemed to work fine again. But since a few days now there is no single mkv movie that gets decoded with the GPU anymore. I did NOT install other videodrivers (fearing to ...

Re: Video Resume

Before the release of Splash Pro I used BS Player with an AVISynth script providing motion interpolation. It actually worked pretty well but was a tad unstable. However the one thing BS Player did really well was the ability to resume a video from where it left off previously. This is particularly ...

SPDIF Audio

Hi, what does this option mean exactly?

If I connect my laptop with hdmi with my tv, and use a optical cable out to my audioset, will it then pass through a 5.1 DTS/DD signal?

Re: Splash Lite crash on startup

I fixed my problem....I reinstalled Windows and now it worked. I did NOT install any ATI drivers, so I guess the problem is to be found in these drivers. Although uninstalling them didn't help at all.... I also coudn't find a logfile anywhere on my system btw. Maybe you could alter the startup some...

Re: Splash Lite Short Info

Yeah WMV is *very* important. Yesterday I installed Splash on a friends PC and he just couldn't believe it wouldn't play his WMV files :)
