Uninstall KB2879017 update. Cumulative Security Update for IE 10 for Windows 8 x64 systems. If you can't uninstall, restore to a previous point before the update. I hope it would support more formats so that I don't need to install another video player to play FLV and F4V files :(

play the video, then stop it totally, now try to activate the the GPU acceleration features see if that works or try opening Splash Player with no Video firs then try to activate them that worked for me. It is really sad that the development for Splash Player has stopped it is the one and only player in the market that can play videos @ 60 FPS without the need for installing a ton of other programs.
