Re: Major concerns about the product that need to be address

I loaded up the trial version to give it a shot and it records great. There is barely an FPS hit when recording. That's really the only great thing I can say about the product. If you plan on doing any editing it's a poorly thought out process. 1) You have to render what you recorded in order to lo...

Re: Problem With Action

I'm going to guess that SecuROM, being the overly-paranoid DRM that it is doesn't like whatever hooks Action! uses to capture whatever graphics buffers it does, and promptly crashes and burns because of it. If the game launches properly without the in-game recording mode set, then I'd hazard a guess...

Re: Sound Problem

If the extracted audio stream that should contain the in-game sound has nothing in it, you should still be able to hear/see the in-game audio in your editor using just the .avi file, since programs like Premiere Pro use the very first audio stream, which just happens to be the game audio.

Re: Microphone issue

Just as a very quick update, the issue was indeed fixed in 1.13.0. Line-in input is recorded to the left audio channel (to be expected, since it IS a mono input I'm using), and that can be fixed easily enough in any editor.

Very nice to be able to record my mic audio with Action!, now.

Re: No mic recorded

Yeah, it really would. I can capture my condenser mic just fine by using a mic port rather than line-in, but that means I have to reduce the levels on my mixer to keep it from clipping at the quietest whisper. And really, as for the difference between mic and line-in, there shouldn't be one to the p...

Re: No mic recorded

I'm going to hazard a guess you're trying to record from line-in? I posted a similar problem here just over a month ago, and still haven't been able to find a way around it. The only thing I can do is to record from a standard mic input, and not line-in. What's the sound card you're using? All the m...

Re: Microphone issue

I do hate to double post, but.. I've done some testing (exact list at the bottom of this post), and found that Action will not record any line-in input. I've tried multiple sound cards, both on-board, and my current PCI sound card. I can also test on an old Creative X-Fi, but I saw no need to right ...

Re: Microphone Wont Work!!! Frustrating.... Please Help.

In the audio settings in Action I had to adjust the audio balance to 98 on the microphone and only 2 for the system sounds. This seems to roughly balance their loudness on my system. No idea why it is so lopsided, but at the default settings I couldn't really hear my mic at all in the recordings. I...
