BUG: No video only audio

I've just installed Splash Lite 1.7.1.0. When playing any movie file (avi, wmv, m2ts, mov, mpg) there is only audio, no video.
I cannot believe that such a player cannot cope with these files, no matter what the system spec. Any ideas?

Is this screen black and playing audi only or there's something odd happening on the screen?

The window is black. Audio is normal - just no picture.
