wow that was pretty fast, thank you !

at last ALL my h.264 mkv's are accelerated by GPU, with no exceptions!

i'm really impressed with you guys.
your codec/player has the BEST hardware acceleration support & compatibility to date.

btw, are there any plans to release your h.264 codec as an external video decoder?

The Sub Problem is fixed, good job!

But: SplashLite seems to make the line breaks for a 4:3 aspect ratio(Screen set as 16:9 in the settings). I hope you'll fix that too.

SplashLite 1.2 crashes when I try to open a XviD encoded AVI file. I don't if it's the file, but it could be played normal in all previous versions.

SplashLite is a new generation player focused on HD best quality compression standards (like H.264). For backward compatibility uses system codecs to support older lower quality standards (like Xvid). Please ensure you have installed stable Xvid codec in your system.
Please try again one of the previous SplashLite versions to determine if your avi file would be played properly on actual system codecs setup. It would be very helpful feedback.

Some problems with 4:3 format video.
Don't support "wmv" format, it's not good and I can't find file associations menu. Will be it realised in new versions?

Splash Lite 1.2 crashes quite a lot when playing MKV files. It will play like 20 minutes of the video and then "Splash Lite has stopped working..."

I have no idea what the problem is. It was not doing this with 1.1.

that was fast.

well done.

aspect works now but i would Suggest you 4 things to implent : manual contrast, brightness, level and sharpen adjust.

because a lot of videos need an extra tweak for the look. especially 1080p videos can be improved with this filters like in ffdshow.

these little helpers wont cost to much of cpu time but can do wonderful things. i add a few compare screens to you :

left side original blueray video <-> right side brightness, contrast, unsharpen mask and level adjust

hit the screens to enlarge

if you could make it possible to use this features, that would be stunning ;)

just to say that, when I open window settings options , the window is trim on the right, and I can't display the line border.
the quality is always here,

very good work

thanks.

Hello travisjames,

We would greatly appreciate if you could post some more details about the problem: what is your HW configuration (gfx card/cpu), are you using hardware video acceleration, a print screen of the info panel during playback would be great, can you seek to the moment before the crash and see if it happens always at the same time. Have you done any graphics card driver update lately?

There have not been any major updates in the MKV module since Splash Lite 1.1 and unfortunately we are not able to replicate this problem in our labs.

Best regards.

@ r00ter,

you can do all that (& more) via nvidia control panel (contrast / brightness / dynamic range / dynamic contrast enhancement / color enhancement / edge enhancement / noise reduction, etc.)

nevertheless built-in filters in splash are always welcomed...
