2 Jump Forward/Backward Issues

Love this piece of software, it's got great potential. Wrote a review here: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-ti ... ia-player/

Two things about the forward/backward jumping feature though:

1) Sometimes - when set to a 5 seconds interval and trying to jump back 5 seconds, at times it skips to the same part where you left off. I guess this has to do with the player wanting to jump back to the nearest key frame. In most video files, though, it's perfectly fine to not skip to a key frame, which would make it significantly more accurate.

2) When jumping back/forward in a video with subtitles, it takes a long time for the progress bar to disappear, which makes it impossible to read the subs. I think that the progress bar popping up isn't necessary when jumping with the arrow keys: you already know exactly what you're doing.

Hi Guillaume and welcome to the forum :)

We will improve both jumping issues in future Splash releases.

We would like to thank you very much for your feedback and nice review :)

Thanks for the quick reply, looking forward to the improvements in the next version. Actually, the jumping problem is a bit worse than I described: at times trying to jump forward for 5 seconds actually results in jumping BACK several seconds and vice versa.

We will further investigate this problem, but improvements probably will not be included in the next release.
