Crash with video overlay enabled

If I enable video overlay and attempt to play a *.mkv file (720p, x264) the program crashes. The file plays fine without video overlay enabled. Overlay works fine in all other programs. I am running MS Windows Vista SP2, Radeon 4650 video card.
