Playback Control : Automatically open next file ?

Hello,

About the setting "Automatically open next file", I don't understand the order Splash reads files.
It seems it's neither chronologically nor by the name...

And, second question, what is the meaning of the "jump interval" ?

Thank you for this really great HD player 8-)

My guess - it's next video file in this folder (next by the name).
But the "by the name" order can be different.
E.g. in explorer first character: "[" -> english -> russian
But in Splash: "[" -> russian -> english
That's why I'm using playlist instead of this option...

When using left/right arrow keys - it is the time interval for the press. E.g. if "jump interval" = 10s - it will seek for the 10 seconds on every left/right arrow keypress.
At least it have to. But then it stick to the nearest keyframe before this time.

Hope this will help ;)

Thank you very much Vivan for your answer :)

There is something strange, because i've got some files simply named "00001.mts, 00002.mts, ..." (from a camrecorder) and the playing order is not good... Splash plays 00007.mts, and after 00004.mts, and 00008.mts, etc... :?

Hm. I have some kind of the same problem...
I have tested and it played in such order:
  1. 00001.mkv
    00002.mkv
[Leopard-Raws] Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei - 02.mp4 // ok, ok - 02 in the file name...
    00003.mkv
    00004.mkv
    00005.mkv
    00006.mkv
Bad_Apple!!.mkv // but why this file?
    00007.mkv
    00008.mkv
    5.Santimetrov.V.Sekundu.avi
while in explorer:
  1. [Leopard-Raws] Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei - 02.mp4
    00001.mkv
    00002.mkv
    00003.mkv
    00004.mkv
    00005.mkv
    5.Santimetrov.V.Sekundu.avi //0 = means nothing. lol
    00006.mkv
    00007.mkv
    00008.mkv
    Bad_Apple!!.mkv
But why "00007.mts, and after 00004.mts, and 00008.mts"...
I'll try to experiment more with this option ;)

Thank for your testing and reporting problem. We will try to investigate this problems but it could be hard as we cannot repeat it on our systems.

The problem is still here... :(
For exemple, i've got these files :
Image

Slapsh reads them (always) in this order :
00000.MTS -> 00001.MTS -> 00002.MTS -> 00005.MTS -> 00007.MTS -> 00009.MTS -> 00003.MTS -> 00004.MTS -> 00006.MTS -> 00008.MTS

This looks extremly strange. Please open playlist and make sure that it is not a playlist order.

I found a solution : if I drag and drop files into the splash player, it's alright, a playlist is created with the right order.
But if I'm reading a file, 00002.MTS for exemple, Splash reads next the 00005.MTS files instead of 00003.MTS...
Yes, this is strange... !

I think you should allow to turn off seeking by keyframe.

It's easy:
Mirillis should make a checkbox: "Play Next File by name/by date".
