Watch Recordings, while recording

Tue Mar 02, 2010 3:57 pm

I noticed that Splash was not able to open a .ts file while recording.
I assume it should work if opened with no lock in readonly mode?

Hi arnulf,

Splash Lite rely on file size and time stamps from beginning and end of .ts file (PTS). It is necessary to compute video and audio time, show progress bar, support seeking, etc. We cannot rely on file being modified by other application, especially application modifying its size.

Please try to copy a part of the file you would like to prewiev and then run it in Splash.

best regards,

The reason to start watch, is if I was to late to see my favorite TV-series, but don't want to wait until it is finished recorded.

I can use my PVR or DVBViewer to watch while recording, but I was planning to buy Splash TV, if it could replace those two.
(both also support timeshift for LiveTV)
