Salvation for Intel GMA 4500 HD owners?

Hello
First of all, congratulations on your excellent work. I am looking forward to your Pro version!!!

You seem to be the only ones who can offer salvation for lots of people who would like to play 1080p files on noetbooks with integrated Intel 4500 HD. I wrote salvation since there are many compatibility problems when playing mkv files. Intel simply don't care about it.

I have Asus B50A with 2.1 GHz and 4500 HD Intel integrated and 2 GB Ram with Vista 32 business.

I have been experiencing slight stutter while playing a mkv sample 1080p x264 with Splash player lite 1.3.

The usage of CPU is quite low 10-20 % - GPU- DXVA is enabled BUT I can see some stuttering.
(Previously when GPU – DXVA wasn't enabled the picture stuttered tremendously on MPC HC)

What is wrong???? With such low CPU usage it should run smoothly.

I tested this file on my desktop PC and it plays without problems (Obviously the desktop has a much better GPU)

P.S.Before your player I wasn’t able to enable GPU (DXVA) support while playing this file on MPC HC now with yours GPU is visible!!! Again congratulations.

Guys, please try to hibernate Windows, after waking it up it could be better. This sounds ridiculous but it works on 1 of our test machines. This performance problem seems to be connected with Intel drivers or Windows OS (or both).

@ghost
Hibernation doesn’t work. Have you experienced the same problem?
Are there any prospects of resolving this problem ?

@matthew_eli
Can you test this mkv sample

and write whether it stutters or not on your notebook?

As I wrote earlier: Despite GPU being visible (DXVA) and low usage of CPU 10-20% - the clip slightly stutters.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Downgrading to Splash 1.2 helped for me. It also solved few other issues like strange video jumping. First remember to uninstall 1.3.

Thank You for your suggestion. It REALLY works but with DTS sound there are still some stuttering problems. I will wait.

One thing seems certain: this player has a great potential but there are compatibity problems which should be resolved in the final pro version. I am looking forward to buy it.

Dear creators of this great software - bear in mind these comments. Something is wrong if the older version works better than the latest one.
I hope the final pro version will be polished and stable. For Intel graphic owners this player could be the best

Video is still jerky with Splash Lite 1.4 like it was in 1.3. Reverting back to good ol' 1.2 where video is smooth. It's a shame because there is so many improvements in 1.4.

I think I'm experiencing the same issue.

When I play movies, every 10 - 20 secs the movie flickers. It appears to briefly show a frame from another part of the movie like its out of sync.

I've tried both 1.2 and the current 1.4.3 Splash Lite players.

I have the ACER ao752 (SU2300 / 4500 mhd) and using the latest drivers from intel: 8.15.0010.2141.

Anyone know how to resolve this. Is this being worked on my Mirillis?
