Splash Lite - made portable?

Mon Mar 29, 2010 7:33 pm

I thought that by copying the few files installed to the Splash Lite program folder during setup to a USB flash drive I could create a "portable" version of the player, it seems I can not (an error message states that the configuration has changed). I realize that Splash Lite creates files in "Application Data" and makes registry entries when it is run. I am not concerned with those. I just wanted to be able run SplashLite.exe on any machine, without going through the entire process of installation. Is there some way this can be accomplished? Mirillis, any suggestions?

Running something without installing it doesn't necessary mean it's portable - it can be writing something to the registry. But it's a good question - will there be a portable version?
