Hello, I own two AVCHD camcorders and just want to thank you for this (1080i to 1080p) great feature!
It makes my footage trully smooth. How does it work, is it something like an inteligent frame creation mode in modern Panas tvs?

We can't tell about technical details of "Best Quality (1080i to 1080p conv.)" mode, especially that Splash is probably the only player providing this feature for software HD video decoding. This is dedicated for all users watching interlaced clips that do not use hardware acceleration for video decoding. It requires a little more CPU power than Normal Quality video playback but provides trully smooth video expercience.
