Re: Splash Lite, Windows 7 x64 and DVB-T

Works nice on my Acer 1810tz Win7 x64 using DVB-T

1. Pluggend in WandTV, win7 finds and install drivers.
2. Start Splash, scans channels.
3. Watch FTA (NRK.no) TV :)

There are a tuning problem when restarting Splash, the Q is 0
I need to enter settings to change frq, then change
back to previous frq, now both Q & S is ok. (also applies to v1.3)

Only Mute works with the remote, will there be an option to program
the key-combinations the remote use ?

There are some glitches in both sound & picture, hopefully fixed in next revision.
Also looking forwards to subtitles & EPG.

Also tested on a HP with Vista, and an old PC using XP.
That's VERY interesting, arnulf.
I have the exact same tuner and OS, and not working in here.
Any ideas what might be different?

I'm user of Terratec Cinergy 2400i DT TV Card.
We have information about one more user with WandTV Tuner working with Splash on Windows Vista and 7.
It seems to be the same problem with Terratec Cinergy 2400 tuner. We have this tuner model in our labs and it works fine with Splash on Windows XP/Vista and 7.

Does the problem with channel search repeats for both automatic and manual scan when scanning only selected frequencies?

There are several things you may try:
* Check if newer drivers for TV tuner are available.
* Please make sure that you dont run any other software that may use TV tuner (including any services/processes for recordings in task manager). Run Splash, make sure you have proper region selected and start channel search.
* Close Splash when experiencing channel search problem, make sure that you dont run any other software that may use TV tuner, remove tuner and plug it again (for PCIe tuner turn it off and on in device manager), then run Splash again, make sure you have proper region selected and start channel search.
* Delete Splash Lite configuration files (c:\users\username\appdata\local\mirillis - delete all files). Run Splash, make sure you have proper region selected and start channel search.

Hello Ghost,
Here are my findings using Windows 7 x64 and the AF9015/AF9035 dongle (aka WandTV).
Current installed driver is 9.5.20.2, dated 20/05/09.
I managed to find a newer driver in the manufacturer site, version 9.6.3.1, dated 03/06/09 (if I remember correctly), however this driver isn't detected as compatible by windows, and forcing it to install made the tuner not working at all (hanged the computer, actually and after a reboot the tuner will not work, although the driver is shown as installed), so back to 9.5.20.2.
No other software is using the tuner (I verified by using the tuner by VLC, and than exit VLC), in fact, I realized that while Splash was suppose to do a channel scan, VLC is able to connect to the tuner with no problem, it seems that Splash will not "lock" the tuner at all.
Deleting configuration files, removing and plugging in etc. changed nothing.
Thanks again, Adam.

This may be important input for investigation.
Thank you for great feedback!

I'm using Not Only tv LV5T Deluxe
In PC is Windows 7 x64 Pro and I have the same, but when I plug DVB-T Stick in laptop (Win XP x86 Pro) and channel searching works fine (the same driver).
Other software (TotalMedia, Windows Media Center) works fine, but ProgDVB have similar symptom (very slowly scan, freeze software).
Splash and ProgDVB show my tuner like: REALTEK DTV Filter (tuner made by RTL2832U chipset).
Maybe this information will help to fix problem.

Thank you for reporting the problem.
We have LifeView (NotOnlyTv) HYBRID USB LV5H in our labs. It works fine with Vista/XP. We will investigate the problem with Windows 7 and keep this topic updated.

When I scanning DVBViewer or Media Centre and try run program to listening radio (Not only tv program) show me error: "Initialize failed, please check device connected correctly!". When I try to scan using splash error does not appear and I have no problem with listening to the radio so adam777 have right - splash no "lock" DVB-T receiver.

I am having the same problems as adam777.
When I scan for channels nothing happens it just sits there on o% for ever
I live in Australia, set scan to automatic but nothing happens.
I am using the latest version of Splash Lite 1.2. it has not worked in any previous versions either.
I am using Windows7 64 bit ultimate with a Blaze hdtv usb tuner, the supplied software works with no problems but no mater what I try Splash wont!
