Re: Action! synchro issues - report here

Problem I'm having is that the video gets sped up by about 10%, and the audio comes out really fast, out of sync, and laggy, and missing in some places.

It only happens when I record in 50 FPS or above.

OS: Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit

GPU: Sapphire Dual-X R9 280X (3GB)

Driver: AMD Catalyst Omega 14.12 (early December, 2014)

RAM: Corsair XMS3 8GB

Monitor res: 1920 x 1080

Rec mode: Game App

Vid type: MP4 AMD

action records at almost 1.5 times normal speed and sound is

Sun Feb 01, 2015 8:18 am

hello. i took the recent update last night, as did a friend of mine. straight away we both had issues. neither of us could record video in the experimental version of dayz. i assumed it was because of the experimental and turned experimental off. i still record after that. after restarting the pc i found i could record again. once i finished recording our gaming, i found everything had recorded at almost 1.5 times speed. we both sounded like chipmunks and the video was just as quick. the microphone recording was very choppy too. with lots of clicky sounds. my headset is new and works fine with Skype and other applications. this was all working fine until i took the update. is there any way of me reverting back to the previous version?. is anyone else experiencing this and is there a solution to it?. i am going to have to go back to fraps if i cant get this working.
thanks.

Same issue, I can't remember having this issue previously in any other versions of M.A. Essentially it plays back at an increased rate, around 1.5x and regardless of the settings I choose (have tried various microphone/recording channel "fixes" found online) it's always the same. Only format for recording I haven't tried is AVI, will try that later today and update this post.

OS: Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit

GPU: AMD 7950

Driver: AMD Catalyst Omega 14.12 (9th December 2014)

RAM: Corsair 16GB

Monitor res: 1920 x 1080

Rec mode: Game App

Vid type: MP4 AMD and MP4

I'm not convinced it's doing it all of the time, I'll test it more later. Perhaps it's simply more noticeable with longer clips and many of mine are just a couple of minutes long.

1080p, 60 FPS, 1980x1080 resolution.
Both AVI and MP4 have issues.
The problem occurs for every game I've tested so far. (Both DirectX and OpenGL)
The problem sometimes occurs at lower sizes, and sometimes not; It's extremely variable.
The problem does not occur when recording on Windows Desktop.

OS: Windows 8.1
Video Card: Nvidia GTX860M
Memory: 8 GB
Monitor Resolution: 1280x720, 1920x1080
Recording mode: Game/Application, Screen Mode
Video Type: AVI and MP4

The playback of the captures are faster and choppy.
Recording BO2, pCARS, TF2, L4D2 and ESO (Windowed with Action! in Desktop mode).

It happens when I choose use AMD GPU Encoding at any resolution in any mode.

I've never had problems before with this recording configuration.

OS: Windows 8.1 64
Video Card: Asus 2x 290X DC2OC
Current Driver version and date: Omega 14.12 (also tested an older version, 14.4 Aug)
Memory: 6GB CL6-1600
Monitor Resolution: Maximum available in MP4 (1080p). I can record 2560x1440 videos in AVI correctly.
Recording mode: Any
Video Type: MP4 GPU Encoding

I got some great news (I hope). Our folks in the lab managed to fix this issue. Each test after new version produced proper recording without any speeding effects.
