Things that would make me buy Splash PRO instantly

Fri Feb 25, 2011 9:50 pm

Hi everyone, this is my first post

I'm a video nerd and have used almost all the players, codecs, renderers etc. and Splash PRO is really a great player with few nice tricks and an fresh GUI. Currently I'm using MPC-HC as a player + madVR as a renderer (best quality renderer available, and it's free) + AutoFrequency (changes your monitor refresh rate to match video refresh rate automatically) + reclock (makes your video perfectly in sync with audio and monitor refresh rate).

The setup i'm using is pretty perfect, but your motion2 looks great on few videos, and that made me try this product.

Now to the improvements:

-Make advanced options, (even .ini file with some documentation will do for now).

-Make motion2 even smoother and better, I can see some choppyness and pixelation and can use it only on few selected files. I don't care if it takes more CPU/GPU processing power since now it doesn't use much even with a computer that's few years old.

-Option to select automatically your audio settings by the active sound card in Windows (I have an optical output to my AV-receiver and would love if it selected it as a primary output automatically when I power down my USB-DAC).

-Make option to automatically load saved profiles for each video type (1080p/720p/SD will do for now). You can do this easily by using the video resolution as a trigger.

-When using more than one displays (monitor + TV for example) start screensaver or shutdown the monitor that isn't used.

There is tons of other tweaks in my mind but these are the main ones I would love to see in the future versions.

I will buy this software when I see some improvements I like, I promise. :geek:

Thank you for your nice feedback and valuable suggestions.
We still have some work to do with the software and will improve it gradually with next versions.
We do not plan for this moment advanced options but we keep this suggestion for future versions.
