Re: I think there's a problem with nvidia cards...

well, it's only in borders and walking people that I notice it, it's kinda annoying to see a flickering side of the character while the back part is fine...

let's imagine it's "O"
and the O is going this way ----->
well on this part of the O<--- it's be flickering and twitching
while the -->O side, is smooth and fine.

btw I have a laptop with a 42x0 ATi and never saw any of these issues.

Yes we know what you mean. We have already provided the answers.

There's nothing you can do about that at present, accept to slide Motion2 to 1. But even then...

BTW, technical there shouldn't be any difference between software and hardware decoding but on SplashPro, the colors do degrade (become inaccurate) when using Software Mode.

Take a look at the two images above. Notice how blue is more accurate when in hardware mode (without MCFI).
thanks for sharing, watching more demanding 1080 movies like Startrek 2009 and Max Payne with Splash Pro v1.6 is a thrilling experience and I keep wondering whether anything could be improved by upgrading the video card from HD3650...

by the way, those flickering apparently found in European movies like James Bond but not American movies, maybe something to do with movie format?

I admire Anonymoose's ability in verbally describing the problem

I've turned off and on
-Auto (Best De-interlacing)
-Motion 2 ultra
-Hardware acceleration (Purevideo)

same deal on all...

oh well... I'll upgrade drivers and cross my fingers lol (I already have 267.XXs... so it's not like I have drivers from the CD that the video card brought)

oh, well I'll learn to ignore them for the moment

Wait a second.

Do you mean MCFI (Motion2) 60p or actual 60p content? :D

Id you're referring to the Motion2 60p, then it can't be fixed as it's down to the MCFI algorithm.

But if you're referring to playback of 60p content, then it could be the drivers. But you can try disabling Motion2 Ultra and Motion2 in the control panel.

Are all these problems experienced only with Motion2?
It seems from descriptions that this is about Motion2 artifacts/ghosts.
