Anyone else having stutter issues after the latest update ?

Its like it slows down and speeds up ...

Did not have that problem in the previous versions ... :0(

Do you experience problem with hardware accelration disabled?
Do you experience this problem with Motion2 disabled?

Please provide some more information about your Splash configuration if possible.

I have been using Splash and Splash Pro for some time - especially for mts files from my HD Video camera. Both video and audio have always been smooth (except on my wife's old laptop, which is simply too slow) Recently, I note that sound starts ok, but after a few seconds, sound starts to break at 2-3 times per second. Video seems smooth, and all Splash settings are unchanged. This does not occur with Windows Media player or Nero player, though both of these programs play video less smoothly than Splash. Computer is Alienware m15x, with i7-940 mx processor (quad core, 2.13-3.3 GHz), 8 GB ram, Nvidia 240m video card. Drivers are all up to date. I have done complete antivirus sweep. I tried installing K-Lite codecs - no improvement.

I have not retained old versions of Splash Pro. Could you provide a link to an earlier version (perhaps 1.5) so that I can see if the problem is version specific?

I found the solution! I did find version 1.4 on my wife's new laptop (a Dell i7 machine) - her machine did not have the stuttering, but version 1.4 still had it on my machine. Then I found a message on the Nvidia board that stuttering had been observed with recent versions of their drivers (my machine has a 260m card). I reverted to earlier drivers - no stuttering. The newest Nvidia WHQL drivers (170.61) also do not produce stuttering. Problem solved.
