I wouldn't have thought that introducing facility for user-selectable 'capture destination' would be such a huge task.
Perhaps it'll be introduced in the next 'life' i.e. v2

Hi, this is not a huge task but it is also not so simple as it seems (it requires translation work etc). We have this option in our plans but we also have a tight schedule and our roadmap that must be done. We cannot do everything at once, but we add new features or improvements gradually with every updates.

Maybe add a function to generate x screenshots of the video at y % of the total length. That should generate a 20 bmp files preview of the file. Just like MPC does.
