Re: Splash PRO 1.2.1 & 1.2.2

Fri Sep 24, 2010 6:27 am

Version 1.2.2 has AVI playback issues:

1. Pixelating - so picture looks like when you have bad satellite signal.
2. Closing SplashPRO never stops playing movie and it actually doesn't close and I can hear sound from the movie in the background. Needs to be killed from task manager
I pointed out this problem too, but no answer so far. And FLAC audio buzzes like hell. Like you are listening to 10000000 crickets at once.

I reproduced the problem on W7, will be fixed soon.

It would be very welcome, because there is "direct proportion" between version numbers and bugs! :cry:
Version 1.1 is the better so far.

We reproduced the problem with Motion2 stuttering with hardware acceleration enabled. The fix is coming soon.

Also some improvements for FLAC will be available in next release.

I suggested somewhere the make a schedule of developing. It would be lovely. What do you think Ghost?

EDIT:
I have found it:
Joco1114 wrote:An idea: it would be an informative step to make a "process of Splah Pro" page. Maybe it would calms the people's tempers.
For example:

Subtitles: 35% (2010.09.19. 15:00) [Details]
Video Codecs: 50% (2010.09.14. 00:00) [Details]
Audio Codecs: 45% (2010.09.14. 00:00) [Details]

etc. etc. You can imagine like a table with 4 columns, but I cant post tables. :)

Well?

You have Radeon 5XXX and XP. The problem seems to be with Splash and NVIDIA drivers for Win7.

Splash PRO 1.2.3 is now available!
http://mirillis.com/en/products/splashpro.html

What's new in Splash PRO 1.2.3:
* Motion² with hardware acceleration on Windows 7 fixed
* Fast Forward and Rewind added in HD Camcorder browsing mode
(shortcuts: "," = Rewind, "." = Fast Forward")
* Chapter browsing support added for HD Camcorder mode
* AVI, MP4 and MKV playback improvements
* Multi-display video playback performance improvements
* FLAC audio playback improvements
* Numerous user interface improvements

It should solve all Motion², FLAC and AVI playback problems.
We hope it works well now and the feedback is very welcome.
