Playback Options Disabled [SOLVED]

I am using the Pro 1.7 and enjoying it . I sometimes will use Lite for a video which is too heavy for my underpowered system . I did this for a 50 GB "2012" movie , and it played quite well . When I returned to regular Pro , all "Playback Options" settings , except for audio boost , are disabled . Doesn't matter , which video type . It'll play OK , but I can't change any of those settings . I tried to reinstall , and it asked me , if to do a repair , which I did , but the problem remains .
Any ideas anyone ?

Please stop any playback. Open playback options panel and check if Best Quality is enabled. This must be enabled to use all feature when hardware acceleration is disbaled.

Thanks Ghost - you were right , as usual .
I notice that Splash must be stopped completely , even in a pause , I can't change Best Quality , and thus others .
