Hi!
I've been using the Splash Pro Trial for a couple of weeks now and like it a lot.
However there's one major issue that stops me from buying it at the moment. I'm streaming all my videos to my htpc through a wireless network, the average network speed is higher than any of the avrage bitrates in my videos, however sometimes the networkspeed drops for a couple of seconds and the video buffer runs out before the network speed recovers making the playback to stutter. I had the same problem when using MPC-HC but resolved the problem with Haali media splitter where you can inrease the buffer size.
If you could add a similar feature to Splash Pro then I would definitely buy it!

We plan to add this feature. Can you share your experience about modyfing buffer size?
What buffer size gives you optimum results? Thank you for a feedback.

I suggest to add a set of buffer size for user to select

e.g. (in MB) disable,1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128
Since there is no difference in 32MB or 33MB, just keep the setting simple and skip those size is not 2^n.
128MB is actually insane but can be used as a reserved setting for some extreme case.

I have the same problem! The wi-fi can go up to 90mbps real speed, I try streaming a 15mbps video, and when the wi-fi stutters for 2 seconds the playback chockes!

Will you support custom network buffer values in the next updates?

lol. You can have 802.11n and your isp give 1 Mbps and you want download all speed wi-fi bandwidth?

it's 100mbps uplink wan connection. The problem is the wi-fi which sucks btw. The network buffer needs to be a bit larger.

I fixed my problem. I guess I need better drivers or a new wlan card lol.

It might be a better idea to have the network buffer adjustable by time, rather than size. Video bitrates can vary by an order of magnitude (e.g. 700mb 480p vs 7gb 1080p), so a one size fits all buffer measured in size is probably not going to work too well.
