m2 greyed out for some videos

Sun Jun 10, 2012 5:25 pm

Hi guys. hoping someone can explain to me why m2 is disabled for a few videos but not for others. I look at the details and all of them say H.264/AVC. Is there a way to look at the file type and jjust know it will work cause i am AMAZED at the video quality when its available. Problem is I want to know which videos will work, what to look for.

I read the faq that explained video has to he stopped to enable or disable so there is issue. Unfortunately though its not consistent. Some scenes I can tell its the default fps others its buttery smooth. Overall I prefer it to be disable because of this. I've tried all combination of settings. In this last week I've just begun learning about hardware acceleration. I've tried Haali, madvr, lav, etc. I've gotten better frame rates than splash without. motion 2 enabled but not anywhere close to the level of detail. Added bonus of not having to wonder if I've set up codecs, splitters, and rendered properly. Instal and go.

Edit: disabled ultra and motion working correctly. No stuttering then increase anymore :D

I may have found a bug, maybe user error. On 16:9 display setting zoom and stretch has the same effect. My understanding zoom should cut the top and bottom to allow full screen without distorting the image. Wondering if anyone else has this issue. I was watchng family guy and futuerama. The video dimension says 640x480. My screen is 1366x768. Yeah this isn't HD by any mean but darn it my startrek shows are getting stretched in full screen. Can anyone else confirm this? Maybe just use another player for those.

Motion2 works only for progressive 24/25/30p videos.
