Hello,

Thank you for this excellent application and player but under windows 8 it has some problems even in opening the program.
Movie qualities are very bad in windows 8.
I disabled nVidia hardware acceleration but no improvements.
I watched this movie under windows 7 and it has perfect quality but in windows 8 not.

OS: Windows 8 Release Preview Build 8400
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.00GHz
Graphic Card: nVidia GTX275

As you already know, Windows 8 is currently in its consumer preview stage and will be released late October. Splash and other Mirillis products will be optimised for Windows 8 when it comes out officially.

Adding to the list of things not working in Windows 8 RTM:

- No Aero Snap
- No GPU acceleration features (Motion2,etc)


Action! Has been updated for Windows 8. But I think Mirillis have abandoned Splash totally. The last update was 21/04/2012(just added jap translations) , and the last major update was 10/11/2011 . That was in 2011!! A very long time ago!

We'll be seeing an update soon I think - they probably just want to get Action! as stable as possible, and will probably start working on Splash BD and Splash PRO; or at least I hope so.

My problem is some videos (especially wmv) are not working in windows 8, and this videos work in windows 7.

Please, fix this problem

Win8? I won't use it

The snap feature doesn't seem to work with Splash PRO in Windows 8.

I used win 7 for a long time, it works well, and i will not try win 8 right now.
