Why player settings are stored in the registry and in the folder C:\Users\Silent Rain\AppData\Local\Mirillis\

Some settings are shared between different Splash versions and some of them can be edited manually in the settings file.
Other settings should not be changed or are individual for versions of Splash and are stored in registry.
