Looks like graphical artifacts, I imagine you would see purple triangles all over the screen when playing games to.
This can be caused by drivers, upgrading to
AMDs latest beta catalyst drivers may help.
But the more likely cause is that your GPU is over heating, you can check this by using an application called
SpeedFan
You should get a screen looking at that, my PC is particularly well cooled, so your numbers should be higher, but if your GPU is running at 80c+, then you are indeed in trouble
Overheating is a likely explanation as:
1. Overheating causes weird artifacts on your screen (just like your experiencing)
2. It only appears during heavy work load (like playing a high res video) (this causes more work for the GPU, so if it isn't properly cooled, overheating)

If its overheating it can be just a matter of tightening the screws on the graphics card cooler....
