Capture Frame - Quality

Tue Feb 23, 2010 1:04 am

If I am viewing a video (.mts file off my Sony HD camera) in 1080i will the "Capture Frame" capture in the same quality. I mean will it capture the frame at 1920x1080? What graphic formats will be available? .jpg and .png are really all I care about anyway.

Thanks for your time,
-Scott

I'm also very curious about this as well as when it's likely to be implemented?

Pictures are captured in original video size. In your case it will be 1920x1080, no matter what is your actual window or monitor size.
In case of interlaced video (1080i, 576i, 480i) deinerlace filter will be applied if chosen in settings.
We've decided to store pictures in raw bitmap (.bmp) to avoid compression artefacts.
Frame is captured in best possible quality.

best regards,

DVD playback from folder on hdd is currently not supported, as mentioned in a previous post this is being implemented for future release but when? - this feature must be attractive for a lot of potential users as the only other way to upscale standard def to 720p/1080p is using outdated software that is not integrated into player.
