Knight: I have given up on Nvidia Settings. The control panel is horrible and doesn't allow for custom profile, i.e. changing Brightness/Contrast and other settings specifically for a video player. I just use Splash settings to get the correct Black levels with my calibrated display. The only major issue I have is not with Splash but with Nvidia not fixing their color banding/gradient issue when playing back HD codecs. I have gone over to the dedicated solution and Remux any file I have to work with my TV built in player. It's very basic but atleast the picture quality isn't so bad as Nvidia. I use Splash whenever I need to view anything on the PC. I am hoping for Splash to address this somehow without costing too much CPU usage but I am afraid it will need to be done in software mode as Nvidia is too busy coming out with new cards and not addressing issues with what already exist. Very sad. :(

P.J,
Oh, interlaced stuff.
If you use software decoding - than install ffdshow.
Use such settings:
And don't forget to disable video decoder in madVR (processing -> decoding).
Desktop (Intel i7-970, ATI 5870, Windows 7 x64)
Acer Aspire TimelineX 3830TG (Intel i5-2410M, nVidia GT540M, Windows 7 x64)
PS Vita, Nokia N8

Nvidia has one of the worst support.

Playback speed: 3fps compared to 60fps in Splash
Not much difference except color (happens in Splash's CPU mode) and sharpness (0 in my test).

is there any difference in smooth video playback support in splash, using GPU enabled or not?

I mean, with gpu not enabled, motion2 ultra 108p enabled will be used in 720p mkv playback giving smooth playback, or the gpu needs to be enabled for motion 2 ultra 1080p to work...

I`m not talking about motion2 in "during playback" options...
