Year passed - nothing changed about subtitles. Devs, read!

Fri Oct 28, 2011 9:42 pm

I've been using Splash Pro for about a year and my most complaint is about subtitles. Being overall a great player, Splash still can't handle the simplest tasks, which other FREE players do easily. There's a lot of topics on forums concerning different subtitles issues. Here're just a few:

*You can't turn off external subtitles - only the ones, that were included in the movie
*There's a stupid 5 secs synchronization limit for subtitles. Who said, there can't be a 6-7 secs delay?
*HTML tags do not supported

You can easily add the same amount of issues, which were simply ignored. So here's a very simple question for developers:

Is is SO hard to read the board and fix all these issues? Or do you think none of your customers use subtitles?

I honestly have been waiting all the time, but nothing changed. Updates come and go, but subtitles still being displayed like shit. I'm not even mentioning loosing on top focus and other very, VERY simple stuff.

Seems so. No updates, no vital fixes, no response on forums etc.

In what way Splash Pro related to Action? I don'nt mind Action AT ALL, but I DO mind Splash Pro. Guess, I'm not the only one here.

I understand you. The relation of Splash and Action likes when you get a new friend (Action) :D

We are rather going to improve our own solutions than using 3rd party modules.
