I am anticipating this software very much and I have a question. My HTPC isn't a powerful machine, it's only an Athlon 4850 with 1GB RAM and 780G integrated graphics. Is there a chance Motion2 will work? At least with 720p video ;)
If not, would some cheap, low power Radeon or GeForce card do the trick with OpenCL/CUDA/Stream?
Thanks in advance!

If i'm right 4850 is using the latest Radeon 4xxx technologies so it should fully support hardware accelerated effects/post-effects/shaders. I'm using an 4650 mobility card and it works just nice with DXVA and 4-5 GPU shaders enabled (using MPC-HC).
Streaming HD content is an easy job for most today's modern video cards. As i'm concerned, 4850 card should kick any current game at highest details if powered by a decent CPU. But for HD playback i'm certain 1080p content and Picture2 should be ok.
I don't consider 4850 an HTPC card because of the high power consumption. Best HTPC card nowadays i consider a passively cooled one, especially ATI 56xx series because of the fair price.

Before testing anything make sure you are using updated Catalyst drivers.

The 4850 I'm talking about is the processor's name ;) Athlon 4850e (2500MHz, Brisbane core), to be exact, so sorry for the confusion. I don't think the integrated 780G graphics is really capable of performing anything more than DXVA ;)

Sorry for the awfull mistake.
If it's an one core processor i doubt it will handle 1080p, but 720p should work out, but with Picture2 disabled unfortunately. I also think these post-effects are GPU accelerated, and the integrated won't run them.

You should consider upgrading.

It's dual core and handles 1080p flawlessly, especially with DXVA enabled. So I was wondering if Motion2 could work at least with 720p video. I will experiment later today and see if the integrated graphics can do any OpenCL :P
