Only two Problems

Sun Jul 04, 2010 7:47 pm

I bought this software last week and so far its the best software i used until today.

Only two improvements:

1. Hide the mouse - when i go full screen the mouse should disappear after a time
2. Sometime when i exit full screen the play/pause button doesnt work - if i go back to full screen it works again

Thank you

^^ what he said(both points). Im also having trouble with subtitles. Sometimes (rly most of the time) when I enable subs the screen will go black only showing garbled subtitles. When there is no text the picture will return to what it should be. It is somewhat "fixed" by enabling video overlay. Forcing video overlay messes up other things hence the "".

Lightboost yields white crush, even at lower settings. I reckon it might have something to do with me setting video output to YCbCr 4:2:2 rather than "full" RGB, but that's just guesswork on my part. I haven't checked if there is any black crush. Im using my HDTV as a computer monitor.

Playback of H.264 is sometimes corrupted yielding flashing/sparkling tiny cubes in areas with movement. (Flaky key frames?) Funny thing is that this is semi reproducable as the error pretty much will be the same each time the error occurs in a movie. Most of the time the error can't be seen.

Hi,

for subtitle problem try this:
qwerty wrote:Disable Antialiasing in catalyst control center.
for video effects try this:

And make sure you do not use Motion2 with interlaced content.

When I unchecked "player window always on top" subtitles are displayed as they should without problems.

Regarding the white crush I don't think it has anything to do with any other settings. I "saw" this white crush only while I used a colorimeter. Hmm, I don't know, I really like the depth it renders to film so I might give it another try!

We cannot repeat problem with mouse.
Only for nonstandard DPI settings. With standard DPI windows settings it should work fine.
We will investigate problem with higher DPIs.
