It was a long time for Splash update.
Unfortunately, the new version in terms of HD (1080p) decoding didn’t bring anything new in the most important issues after 3 yars of waiting.
The main disappointments:
1. The lack of any improvement in the fluidity of the algorithm motion2 for Windows 7 and above. (In Windows XP it is even worse than in version 1.13.2.0)
2. The fictional TV tuner support (no specification info’s about supported TV tuners)
The program is suspended immediately after going to the Watch TV (both XP and Win7)
3. No support for subtitles inside VOB files.
4. Lack of FLV support.
What I expect besides above (Make it even as paid option)
1. Support for quite popular already 21: 9 displays.
2. Full scaling - horizontal and vertical expansion and panning (like in DVBViewer Pro )
3. Holding the cursor < > give scrolling effect of time on the counter at a three different speeds (initially 1min / s - after 3 seconds - 5min / s - after a further 3sec - 10 minutes / sec)
It is not necessary to have a live preview.
Currently, it skips to the beginning of the movie very often when pushing the cursor too fast.
4.H.265/HEVC support
5.Specification info about minimal System Requirements to get a fluid 4K (does motion2 supports 4K or only HD)
