Pro Crashes on Startup

I just downloaded the trial version of Pro. When I start the program it gives me the standard "crash" screen - "SplashPro.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." - My system is
Computer: Desktop
GPU Vendor: NVIDA
GPU Model: GeForce 8400 GS
OS: XP sp3
Memory: 3Gig
