file association not working

Tue Aug 03, 2010 8:36 pm

It seems when choosing file association in setup nothing changes. Anyone had this problem before? I use Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit.

Check to see if another player has the associations set. If another player is set as default, Splash won't be able to set its associations. Go to Control Panel - Default Programs and see what your associations are.

Right, i have MPC-HC as default for all video formats. But i want Splash to force the file associations or have some options to setup file associations after installing Splash.

Untick the file types from MPC-HC and Splash will be the default player.

We need some option for file association(not in the setup, but in the program itself), any good player should have this :D Need feedback from the developers 8-)

We are going to add assoc options soon in PRO version so it should be easier to manage with file types.
