I think that it's good idea to get info directly from developers about motion2 status/progress/plans...
this is unique feature of splash player.. specially in this class (small, low-cost, compact player for wide range of multimedia formats)
motion2 actually works quite good, with lower system requirements than other similar solutions...
I noticed a few drawbacks
in a situation where foreground is static and the background is moving, motion2 gets confused and introduces distortions into the picture. more precisely, the edges between foreground and background appear strains that are very visible ...
example in movie "jonah hex": scene from a train, the camera shot soldiers in static foreground while background is rapidly moving (fields and meadows). border lines between the heads of soldiers and the background are distorted..
