1080p MKV not playing?

For some reason Splash Pro cannot play 1080p MKV's, any ideas as to why?

I just downloaded 2 samples in 1080p, one mp4 and the other mwv and they both dont play either..
Can Splash Pro play 1080p content at all??

any idea why 1080p content wont play on my PC?
I have an i7 930, HD5850 and 6GB RAM if that helps

What is the problem exactly? Any error message?

no error message, splash player opens but simply does not play the file.. the same file plays fine in VLC player, Media player classic etc.

We have the same PC as yours and everything works perfectly.
What is your ATi drivers version?
Does the progress bar work or it does not?
Does the audio play or both audio and video does not?
Can you open info panel (press "i") and check whats detected by Splash?

Maybe a wrong codec package or a bad driver?

If you don't get any audio it must be some bad codecs pack installed or some windows registry issue.
