Tearing and fps drops with HDMI output

Whenever I use Splash PRO to play movies on my LG TV, I get horrible tearing and the playback seems sluggish most of the times. My output resolution is 1080p 60Hz. With MPC-HC this issue never happens( I use EVR custom + Vsync ON). If i disable Vsync under MPC-HC the tearing happens also. I have aero off, W7 x64. Splash PRO needs some fixes for HDMI playback, It seems most of the problems happen with Nvidia cards. It might happen because of the render system. If I recall the problem happens with GPU acceleration off. Will Splash be fixed? I hope the devs tried Nvidia laptop cards when beta testing the nighly releases, my last laptop had ATI card and the total experience was better.

Set "Prefer Maximum Performance" in nVidia control panel.

somethin mus be wrong with your notebook bro. I5 430M 2.53 GHz and Geforce GTS 360M and its not working?
i got 2 notebooks one very very old with nvidia 8400m and it works great through hdmi with Splash.
note: I dont use Motion2 and other enhacements as i have Lite version installed on this notebook.

try crl2007 tip, update drivers or disable h/w accel.

Well, MPC-HC works fine. But somehow Splash doesn't use any vsync or has a couple of bugs when Aero is off. I switched to MadVR renderrer in MPC-HC and works extra smooth.

Does the problem repeat with force video overlay option enabled (settings/video).
Please also try to update drivers as it seems like a video driver problem with our video renderer.

2 years passed and this issue is still not fixed.
My setup is i7 2670qm + nvidia gt525m.
When dragging splash pro window to external monitor and going full-screen, fps drops to 30-40fps.
It's fixed only if I disable hw acceleration or if I enable video overlay.

But why? Is it because of Aero theme?
