Great! At last we've got an official answer with info update. Glad to hear you didn't give up on Splash. This is the best player so far and I can't use others after using Splash for a while. They all suck, bleh :-)

Excellent! Can't wait to see what's coming next. Hopefully support for .flv and other goodies.

Also I will say that I messaged support@mirillis and got a reply back within a couple of hours, so yeah - if anyone is experiencing technical difficulties; you will get a reply from them.

Thanks for reply here!
Unfortunately, it's not true. There're still lots of topics that contain various problems and none has fixed yet.
And forum is much better than facebook because of search engine and so on.

Hi, this week we will replay to topics starting from current page in PRO forum.
We read all posts and collect reported problems but we have a very long list of reported bugs & improvements, some of them we cannot reproduce in our labs and it will take some time to fix it all.

Facebook is not the best way for reporting problems (via messages) and we have added there a reporting form which forwards all reports to our support e-mail. Still the best way to report problems is e-mail as it is the fastet way you can
contact us and get a feedback.

I searched Google "splash player abandoned" and found this thread. Been 3 months since the chunk of this thread. News section is Barron. Official blog has an old post as its most recent info. I don't see any official replies saying anything. I decided hey why not see if there's anything new with splash player. I was hoping for an update that hasn't come. On 16:9 ratio on 4:3 aspect zoom and stretch both stretch the video vs crop. That's a fairly big flaw. So family guy, futurama, and Startrek deep space 9 I can't watch in full screen. Not to mention whatever other problems people are experiencing.

This is my all time hands down favorite player. I want to ditch vlc for good. Unfortunately this software has been abandoned. No updates since I've joined seems careless. The proof is in this thread and on these forums. Makes me a sad panda. Cheers for what you did create. Shame it didn't last.

I really really hope they release an updated version. It's also my favorite player. Video quality is top notch. 8-)
