Splash Pro crashes immediately after forward seeking

Hi..
I really like the interface of this player and since I heard lots of good things about the player I tried it finally. But I am really disappointed that it closes/crashes the moment I click on the progress bar to seek forward, only exception are MP4 videos, only these type of videos work fine, other than that I have tried AVI, MPG, WMV , MKV but same error.
Now that is a very strange error and I have never encountered this kind of error in any other player. there is no error shown neither the player hangs, it just quits immediately.
I also tried to disable audio and video while playing to see what could be the cause of the problem, first I tried to disable audio, but as soon I clicked disable audio, the player closed immediately, then I tried to disable video and although I was able to disable video when I tried to seek forward the player again quit.
I am using Windows 7 ultimate, 64bit, Intel Q9400 Proc and Nvidia GTS250 GPU.
Please help me as I am really liking this player.
