TrueHD 7.1 not working?

Mon Apr 09, 2012 4:53 pm

I'm trying to watch a movie with TrueHD audio but I'm not getting any sound. Most movies have DTS-HD MA and I've never had a problem with Splash. I've tried going to the settings and picking the 7.1 option but that doesn't work. I switched to the 5.1 and stereo surround options as well but it didn't work. It plays fine in VLC but Splash has slightly better image quality/color. From what I've read some say that Splash PRO doesn't support TrueHD, other says that it works for them.

Splash does support 7.1 truehd but ONLY using bitstreaming options. That means hdmi. Not sure if s/pdif works for this. Otherwise, it cannot play. DTS-MA probably works for you because it has a -core, which means that it is standard dts packaged inside of the dts-ma file.
