I have a quad core system and the setting was automatically checked for me when I viewed the video settings page. My question is, do I have to also enable Motion2 in the Playback Options for it to be enabled? Or is the Motion 2 Ultra 1080p setting enabled enough.

You need to enable Motion2 in playback options.
This setting just switches Motion2 to more CPU demanding and better quality providing mode.

I'm sorry if this question may sound like it was already answered in the previous post, but i was wondering if Motion2 1080p Ultra was designed only to make Motion2 execute without "hiccoughs" OR does it take Motion2 to a completely different level (level that cannot be reached by using CPU that has less than 4 physical cores)?

I was wondering this because I'm in dilemma of buying an older Phenom X4 (series 9) or newer Athlon II X2. Thank you for your answer!

ULTRA 1080p option provides better video quality. Picture should be sharper and there should be less artifacts and ghosting effects.

Seems no matter what I do, the Motion2 Ultra button is not selected when I start and I cannot set it on.
I'm running a Core i5 processor with an Intel HD on-board card (Thinkpad Edge). Any idea why? The processor
has 4 cores as required.

For those with 4 cores but not able to enable it, or people with extremely fast dual cores (I have a 4.8Ghz dual-core at home now which I am CERTAIN beats some quad cores such as the Core 2 Duo Q6600@2.4ghz), is there a registry tweak that can be used to enable it?

I've been searching the registry and found the place where the Splash Pro settings are. However, there's no Motion2Ultra string there. Can someone who has successfully enabled Motion2 Ultra go to the same registry area to check if there's anything for Motion2 Ultra? Or just take a screenshot of that registry folder! Post it here or PM me thanks!

The settings are located at: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mirillis\Splash

I'm not sure whether that setting can be "forced" but you can try to create new string "Motion2Ultra" and set the value to "1".

Darn. I was hoping it would be that easy. Must be some check done by the program then, I'll have to find a way to spoof 4 physical cores

Mirillis, please enable Motion2Ultra for fast dual cores and tri-cores! All you have to do is to include an advisory or warning beside that option, I'm sure people can make their own decisions on that!

I agree with 'trivolve'.

Splash PRO should provide users with the freedom to select whatever settings they desire irrespective of their system capabilities simultaneous adding a warning advisory on CPU intensive settings. Splash PRO, otherwise is one of the best media players I've ever used.
