I have a Sound Blaster X-Fi Fata1ity for my Audio and this setting is already in the Control panel. I dont know if this is on lesser models but maybe worth checking out 
Located under Speakers -> SVM on/off controls dynamic range volume.

This will be added in upcoming version 1.11.
Will be available in playback options panel - audio tab.
