Denoise filter when converting videos

Thu Aug 11, 2011 6:22 pm

It would be a very nice addition to have a denoise filter for when we want to convert video's at lower bitrates.
I have a couple of very noisy/grainy videos, and when i recode them with splash in a lower bitrate the quality gets really bad because it tries to encode the noise in the image, when i encode with other software and use a denoiser i can lower the bitrate significantly without losing any image quality.

Have you considered adding this denoising feature in splash pro EX ?

Yes, great idea! You can use your graphic card's denoise too.

Hi, thank you for sharing your ideas.
Denoising is included in our plans but I would not expect it to be avialable soon.
This will be probably added when we will add Picture2 processing support for output videos.
