Any updates coming for Motion2?

Sat Apr 06, 2013 11:30 pm

I love using SplashPro, and Motion2 has turned my older 60Hz TV into a smart TV (well, at least with the smoothing option, which I love for video recorded programs). But, I do have a question..

When watching anything with a starfield (Star Trek the Next Generation Remastered for example), any time the ship is in a starfield, there's a ton of artifacting with the starfield. The most recent thread about updating Motion2 was over a year ago, so I was wondering if there are any updates coming soon? I'd really like to continue using the Motion2 option, but in its current state, there's still too many artifacts for it to be enjoyable.

I agree with kronos6948. You need to improve small motion and text .

The starfield artifacting issue seems to be a common problem with Motion2, especially on older TVs. Some users have reported that adjusting the smoothing and interpolation settings slightly can reduce artifacts, but it’s not a perfect fix. Hopefully, an official update will improve Motion2 performance for high-motion scenes like starfields.
