SD2HD Superscaling

Fri Jul 02, 2010 9:29 am

What happened to this feature? SD2HD is no longer mentioned anywhere on the Picture² info page, yet it is still mentioned here: http://www.mirillis.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=21

Instead, I now see "Light Boost" and "Detail Boost", neither of which are as important to me as a good upscaler.
Has SD2HD been removed, or has it been integrated into Splash PRO under a different name?

Also, is "Detail Boost" the Splash equivalent of a sharpen filter? Because that's what it appears to be doing in the sample frame.

SD2HD was orginialy designed to combine detail boost with advanced scalling algorithms. We decided to use best possible scalling algorithms always by default, and then we left Detail Boost as a standalone filter in playback options.

Detail Boost is a smart sharpening filter.
